The Merit Medilinks story began with a simple observation – many people live with foot pain, deformities and diabetic wounds, but there was a lack of awareness about the proper therapeutic footwear required to ease their problem. Medical footwear was there in India, but it was bulky, heavy and aesthetically unappealing, leading to low patient compliance.

At Merit, we decided to change this narrative. To spread awareness and provide a choice of good-looking, trendy yet clinically effective medical footwear, so patients can walk with confidence. What they needed was not just a slipper, but soft, adaptive footwear with biomechanically correct support.

That thought became our journey. We started in Bangalore as manufacturers. Our deep research focused on foot biomechanics, plantar pressure offloading, soft-cushion engineering and material science. We extensively researched lightweight, durable materials with optimal Shore A values for therapeutic efficacy. This led to the development of our self-researched Super Soft Insole.

We use Premium MCR for superior cushioning and better outcomes for diabetic patients. Along with this, we offer standard MCR and MCP ranges for our off-the-shelf catalogue. Our in-built basic orthotic footwear is a significant relief for patients who were earlier forced to use bulky shoes with separate orthotics.

Medical footwear complements medical treatment. It provides soft cushioning to aid recovery of a wounded foot and offers the softest support for a deformed foot. Largely, it helps reduce pain while walking through customizations made as per patient requirements.
